Roxanne Mefford
has been coaching at Glen Oaks for 29 years! In addition to
coaching the Sea Lions, Roxanne coached for several years at Del
Campo High School and also for the Sierra Marlins and Rancho
Arroyo (year round
club teams). She has also taught private swim lessons for 30
years in locations throughout the area. Roxanne grew up swimming
for the Arden Hills Swim Team and she graduated from Del Campo High
School. She went on to swim at UC Santa
Barbara, American River College and Sac State! She holds a degree
in Criminal Justice from Sac State. Roxanne lives in El Dorado
Hills with her husband Scott (also a swimmer) and her 3 Sea Lion children
(Mikala, Bryce and Colby).

Jeff
Jungk
has been coaching swimming for 15 years. He is now in his 11th year
with Glen Oaks. In addition to Glen Oaks he was with the Cordova
Blue Marlins for 5 summers, Folsom High School for 7 seasons, Rancho
Arroyo for 2 years and Del Campo High School for 5 years. Jeff has
also taught group and private lessons for 15+ years. Jeff grew up
swimming for several teams in California, Alabama and Texas. He then
went on to swim at American River College where he held a team
record and was a JC All-American. Jeff holds a degree in Biology
from Sac State and teaches Science at Churchill Middle School in the
San Juan District. Jeff and his wife Jamie have a 2 year old son
named Brendan... a future Sea Lion!

Gary McLaughlin
has been coaching since the dawn of time (35+ years). He is the king of
summer league coaching having spent time with Rosemont, Del Paso and who
knows where else. He is currently in his 12th year at Glen Oaks. He
also coached a few high school swimming and water polo teams including
St. Francis, El Camino and Loretto. He swam for Arden Hills as kid and
then at Sac State. For the past 30+ years, Gary has patrolled the
streets of downtown Sacramento on a bike as a Sacramento Police Officer.

Lisa Williams
is in her 13th season with the Sea Lions. Prior to Glen Oaks she
coached in the bay area for 3 summers. She also spent a year
coaching year round at Rancho Arroyo. Coach Lisa swam summer league
and year round in Walnut Creek as a kid and then went on to swim at
Diablo Valley College. Lisa has a degree in Physical Education from
Sac State and currently teaches PE at McClatchy High School. Lisa
and her husband Tim have 2 children.

Dr. Justin
Creel
is in his 6th year as a Glen Oaks coach but he is no stranger to Sea
Lion territory. He grew up swimming for our team, holds several team
records and for several years he has taught lessons at the club.
Justin recently completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at UC
Davis. He did his bachelor's degree at Cal Poly SLO in
Materials Engineering. Justin is in the process of
interviewing for his first "real job" in the engineering field.
Justin live in Rancho Cordova.

Coach Nancy
is in her 6th year at Glen Oaks but has many years of summer, year
round, and high school coaching experience. Among other places,
she's coached at Fulton El Camino, Loomis Dolphins and Mira Loma
High School. Nancy swam year round as a child then swam for 4 years
at UCLA. She was a finalist at Nationals in the 1650yd Freestyle.
Nancy holds a Masters degree and teaches 3rd grade in Roseville but
still finds time to be a mom to 4 children (all are Sea Lions).

Coach Brian
is in his 5th year with the Sea Lions. He comes to us with years of
previous coaching experience with the Cordova Blue Marlins, Cordova
High School and other teams back in Wisconsin. Brian grew up
swimming for year round club teams back East and then swam in
college at the University of Wisconsin, Steven's Point where he was
a national finalist. He also
swam the 200 fly and 200 back at the 1976 Olympic Trials and placed
27th in both races! Brian teaches History at Cordova High School
and has 2 boys, Evan and Bryce, who swim for Glen Oaks. Brian's
wife Ann is a counselor at Folsom High School.

Pam Roberts
is the Glen Oaks yoga and dry land coach. Pam coaches the 13-14's
and the 15-18's Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Pam is
licensed yoga instructor with many years of experience. This
will be Pam's 6th year leading the older kids in AM yoga and
stretching. Pam is the mother of two Sea Lions (David and Jackie). Pam
is an esthetician and operates out of Salons Within on Walnut Ave.

Will Howly

Will is in his 1st year as Glen Oaks coach and also
his 1st year as a swim coach period. Will is assisting our
veteran coaches in the 10 and under age groups. Will is a
student at Rio Americano High School and he swims year round at
Arden Hills .
